Why is it that the elders know so well what reality is
when the future is the youth and all the youth believes.
Why do they never listen or do they only teach?
Every passing generation the disconnect grows thin,
miles of information scattered in the wind.
Gone tomorrow is our motto stagnation is our sin.
Oh, and the truth is for those who speak.
Oh, and your worthiness is seen.
Oh, to be or not to be.
There's no easy way to pull the dark into the light.
Pull it like a tooth let 'em wail through the night.
Siding with the truth it always turns out right.
If they care so much why do they lie to their children?
What are they building?
You can see the shrinking sea every day we go wrong.
What are you on?
