The ABC's

(Daniel Cioper)
Fight the powers that be for equality
bring democracy and then we will have peace.
You've got to live in revery set your spirit free,
don't downplay the plea and then we will have peace.

When you were a baby on your mama's breast
and she told you you were different than all the rest.
So you grew up seeking out the silver line.
In a world full of dark and pain man you cried all the time.
But the secret's in the sauce and I don't want to leave you lost
for the calling's in the cause so jump the line.

And fight the powers that be for equality
bring democracy and then we will have peace.
You've got to live in harmony. Set the captives free.
And be the change we need. And then we will have peace.

Hey you with your bare skin in a bag.
Squintin' your eyes just like you ain't never not been right.
Or miss sad-sack Sally with your arms hanging down.
Face trailing behind with frown dragging on the ground.
Light the spark and lighten up your cup of sugar is running up
but there's an answer in a dance that goes like this.

Fight the powers that be for equality.
Bring democracy and then we will have peace.
You've got to open up your Chi. See what's happening.
Don't leave it up to me. And then we will have peace.

So if you're working all the time at a no soul serving lie.
If you're feeding like a fly or just wanna see more than blind.
Believe me when I say that the rainbow's more than grey.
It's all red and green and blue and glorious gold.

And it teeters and teeters and tips,
at the brink of your fingertips.
You can have it the moment you grab it, now listen,
and this is how I say:

Fight the powers that be, for equality, bring democracy
(starting at home) and then we will have peace.
You've got to set out in the streets, make happen what you speak
and be the change we need and then we will have peace.
You've got to fight.
You've got to fight.
YOu've got to fight.
