Dan Cioper: Music

Endlessly In The Sea

(Daniel Cioper)
June 1, 2008
In the still of the night as I lay my bones beside you in the night, in the light of you.
I won't be gone so long as moon light surrounds you
Endlessly in the sea of you.

And those prickly, thorny tears I carry through these years all wash away for the moment
And the weight of the ages will shatter with the phrase
"All are one".

Lay down your pride and let the night roll by on a boat full of notions abandon.
For feel my soft skin, oh the power's within you go softly, and smile Mona Lisa

And the eyes of the past though they scorn and they laugh there's nothing they can do to dissuade.
For the birds in the sky and the fish floating by are old friends from yesterday.

Wipe the sweat from your brow if your fiery lips allow you to jump ship in the grip of my hand.
As the two become one and the light of our love eclipses the wrong that we've done.

In the still of the night as I lay my bones beside you in the night, in the light of you.
I'll be around so long as light's upon you endlessly in the sea of you.
